Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the marginal sealing ability of various composite resin filling materials.
Using the extracted human teeth and 2% acqueous methylene blue, the marginal leakage of dye in restorative materials such as Enamelite-500, Hipol, Restodent, Estic-microfil and Amalgam were investigated at 37¡É
The results were as follows:
1. All the composite resin filling materials which were used in this experiment were inferior to amalgam in the marginal sealing effect.
2. Restodent and Enamelite-500, Enamel--bonding system, were the more effective marginal sealing ability than Hipol and Esticmicrofil which was not used the acid-etching technique.
